It is. People see me during the day (from a little distance since I’ll be on my back patio), and they won’t realize that I have tape over my mouth. It’s a bit of a rush wondering if somebody will notice.

It is called Floral Tape and you can find it at any craft store. I'm not sure if wal-mart has it but if they do it will be in with the silk flowers, floral foam, etc. If you have a Michael's crafts, Hobby Lobby or just a floral shop close by try that. Your local floral shop will probably sell you a roll if you can't find it anywhere else.

I never took lessons. It took me about 30 mins to pick it up. Since you are a skater, you should be able to pick it up very quickly, Go with some friends who have ridden before. Watch some basic snowboarding videos before you go. If you still are having trouble, then try some lessons.
Be prepared to be sore in the morning.
