Is It Possible To Put A Mirror Finish And/or Polarization On A Pair Of Existing Prescription Sunglasses?

I've recently gotten a pair of prescription sunglasses, but would like to put either (or both) polarization or mirror finish on them. If this is possible, where, how, and most importantly...how much?

No, they can’t be polarized now. That isn’t something that can be added after. Polarized lenses have to be made that way from the start.
As far as a mirror finish goes, I believe the lenses have to still be uncut, brand new lenses, for that to be done.
( my lab says they can’t do it on lenses that are already cut )

Blanket stitch around the edge– attach and fray proof at the same time.
Or use fusible interfacing on the back, then cut out the spots and attach by whatever method– the fusible will help prevent fraying.

When your doctor gives you the perscription he/she will tell you when to start taking them. Usually you will have a Sunday start–which is you start the pill pack the Sunday after your period starts even if you are still bleeding. Or you will have a First Day Start, which means you will start the first day of your period.

whew that is quite a bit of difference. as for what "caused" it… either 1 of your eyes is a little larger than the other (front-to-back…axial length) or one of your corneas is "steeper" than the other.
have you ever had glasses before? b/c if this is your 1st time in -5.00 in one eye & -0.25 in the other, that may cause some visual disturbance. anybody with a difference of more than about 2.5 diopters between the 2 eyes is probably better off in contacts IMO
